Yup those are the parts. The upgraded part 73 has a longer tube.
When you take out 73 you should be able to see if the two cases line up by looking in the hole.
If they don't back off the 71 bolts, I think there are 6, and the two bolt that hold the bearing on the secondary side. Then the whole assembly can move a little.

This is awesome Voda. Thanks for helping out!

We’ll got sled apart and things look just like Voda2000 explained. Alignment was close but was able to adjust to make it better. Will order parts tomorrow and post Picture of new –vs- old, Thank you to all that have helped with this Leaky issues.

I have my track out on my '07. Is this something I should be checking even if I don't have a leak?

Michdog, I'm glad you found the cause of the oil leak.
Ruggybunny, mine only developed a problem after I separated the reverse from the chain case when I had to take the whole chain case side bulkhead off for welding. The other 07 I do maintenance work on hasn't had that problem. If it's not leaking and you didn't undo the bolts I wouldn't worry about it.

Perfect, thanks! Now I know to have those part in hand when tearing into the reverse.

By the sounds of it GB had not touched the reverse gear box at all but found this problem after changing the track?

Thats how I read it also. Maybe the sleds previous owner had though.

So should the update be done if the chaincase is already apart?

I agree too that it sounds like he hadn't touched it but I do remember in 2007 some people have problems right out of the box. I had my chain case apart (didn't touch the reverse) once before about a year earlier and didn't have any leaks then. It was only after I had the whole side off that there was a problem.
I think if the alignment was a little out it would eventually ware the rubber part. Perhaps that explainers why it leaked if the reverse wasn't touched?
As a side note the new tube is longer so that it extends further into the reverse box. Also I seem to remember using a small amount of sled grease on the rubber part and tube when I put it together to ease assembly.

Hard to say but I don't think the parts were overly expensive and if its open it would be easy to do.

This particular Phazer was bought by another friend of mine last year. I went with him when he bought it and at that time it 350 miles on it. It was rode 3 times last season and to my knowledge, there was no chain case leak. I cant believe that anyone messed with the reverse gear with the sled being bought from the original owner and only having 350 miles on it. Then over the summer it was sold to michdog2011 and I was there for that sale too. The sled had approx. 1,000 miles on it. michdog and I did the track swap over the summer and did not touch the reverse gear during the swap. There is no need too touch the reverse gear for a track swap. So it was after the track swap that the sled started leaking. It leaks after you would run the track on the lift and then let the sled sit for an half hour or so. Now that being said, we did notice some grime on the front side of the heat exchanger that looks to have been there for a while. So it is possible that the reverse feed tube was leaking a little previously?
Thanks, G.B.
