I dont see anything broke on these.Last one electrode looks a little bent though.

No thats the pto cylinder look at how lean it is, also there is alum around the plug tip just after the threads below the ground electrodes. there is no color whatsoever on it this after 125 miles of riding. I ll be at the dlr in the am and I ll try to get pics of the broken plug. Mag piston seized and scuffed the cylinder requiring a new block and mag piston assmembly, pto piston shows signs of burn down at the very edge of the valve reliefs and the outer most diameter of the piston. Problem now lies with yamaha they are confident there is absoultly nothing wrong with the updated ecu and will not replace it. I m tring to get my old stock , long cranking one back , so I can run both boxes on a 5 gas to verify air to fuel ratios....

I see.I cant read a 4st plug decently I admit. But those look fine to me.AFR meter is the way to go on a 4st.What may look like aluminum often is antisieze that is used on plug threads.I would do just like you said and if they arent replacing the motor demand to see it when they have it apart.Keep in mind that even in a 4st it is common for debris from one cylinder to mess up the other especially once piston has a hole in it.Lot of blowby and things get blown out the intake and then sucked in by other cylinder. Also once rod bolts are removed I believe they should be replaced along with headbolts.

Here is the one that caused the problems for Hyprst.Just looks to me like someone overtightened plug breaking it?

Cannondale please post the other pic of the detonated threaded end that has no ground or center electrodes.

I only got 4 pics from you and the first 3 were all the same.Didnt get one with the threaded end of plug.Try sending it again.

I got it.Sorry.Still looks like plug broke from over torquing to me.Probably the center electrode stayed intact and the thing was firing but with a obvious airleak which led to burndown.I still cannot understand how it wasnt noticed.Sled must have ran terrible up to the point it failed.
