what info do you have that can make this a bit more believeable for 08' ? We've all been thinking this for a year now......you saying it, doesn't really prove anything ? Have anymore info ?

Last year for the APEX line up? Yamaha always seems to go in 3 years, look at the RX1 after 3 years almost perfect, Mono suspension got all the tweeks out of the engine well almost anyways, last year for the APEX im thinking, maybe for the vector line up to, to go riderfoward any the phazer will again sell sell sell.

I think he's just trying to start a "wish-list" If Yamaha doesn't listen to us, just who do they listen too then?

:yam:

I agree, 09' will be the year for Yamaha, I think this is when we'll see the 500lb. mnt. sled we've been waiting 10 years for....or close, and the Exciter sized 120 h.p. in the Phazer chassis......it's going to be a nice few years!

2 reasons for the rumour,#1 if you follow motorcycle racing specificly the Moto GP class you would already know that the manufacturers are going to 800cc motors for next year 2cyl,3cyl,4cyl,5cyl any number of cylinders can be had as long as it totals 800cc.#2 I have some close friends at Yamaha that I know through roadracing, and I was mentioning about purchasing a Phazer and putting a Turbo on it.At that moment he said wait till 08 and I said why?he said 800/900cc sled for next year,I said will it look like a Phazer. He said I am not saying anymore.Just my .02 take it for what it is and thank me later!

OK, that's what I was wanting! Sounds good! Time will tell, hope your correct!

3 year rotation. Next year the vector/rage gets redone. 09 the apex is redone, 2010 the phazer will be redone.

i agree monker... i think you will see the rs morph into a more phazer like chassis.... (maybe the apex, but i think more like pz).... 09 apex will be the next big step.... 2010 pz=??????????

isnt it a little early for these kind of posts??????

I agree for sure, yamaha has done the three year rotation for a while! It would be nice to see an Exciter type sled next year but I would imagine if they don't "convert" the Vector's into a phazer chassis for there 3 year upgrade then it will be another year before we see a completely new sled again...maybe two........but I'm wrong a lot so time will tell!

The 3 year rotation makes sense from a business perspective too. You have to remember that Yamaha has to make spare parts and they don't want a massive inventory of parts that are no longer needed. The Venom is a good example of this.

I agree that the Vector/Rage will be upgraded in 08. Who knows, it might not even be those model names, but it will be that market segment.

WELL I hope your right, but I'd much rather see a 175 h.p. Apex in stock form and remove another 25 lbs. ,,,,,,,,,I'm a bit biased though....LOL.
