Was poking around and about do an oil change on my 09 GT.... Saw something about a screen in the oil tank that should be pulled and cleaned.? Anyone have any other info on this or pics? Thanks. Only have about 4500 km's on the thing doubt it was ever done by previous owner as he didn't know much about it when I bought from him 2 years ago.

Underneath on the bottom of the oil tank is an elbow (#4) with two screws. Remove the screws and pull out elbow which has the pickup screen on the other end to clean. Just don't loose the o-ring (#5):

Perfect thanks. I'll check it out in a couple hrs. I used to have an apex and never touched this screen lol never knew it had one too. Wonder if the viper I have now has one.
Yes Viper does. Usually find some rtv on it first time out.

Lol grass? Weird.
Finished the phazer off tonight and surprisingly the screen wasn't that bad.. A little bit of fuzz in a spot or 2 but a towel handled that. All good. Thanks again.
