- 2010 Nytro MTX converted to XTX
Hey,
New to the site as I made the switch from a 800 etec Skidoo to a 2010 Nytro XTX. Loving the sled so far but I had a question about a track that was included with the sled
Its a 1.5 Challenger track thats been pre drilled for studs or the studs were taken out. Either way I plan on putting it on this summer and I was wondering if I should run studs or will the holes be alright without them? I was debating putting in a shorter stud just to save the track life a bit.. maybe a 1.375 stud..
Also the clips are all rusty..has anyone cleaned them up with a sander or will the slides clean the rust off after a few runs?

The slides will polish those clips in no time. Not sure about the holes though.

My buddy went stud crazy a few years ago on his sled and 2 years he took out just over 100 of them and has been riding with the holes for 2 years now with no issues (and he rides like an idiot lol. "Full throttle-nothing-full throttle-nothing over and over all day") he has a 120 hacksaw or tomahawk I think.

They drill massive holes for mountains when they port tracks an no issues. I have some holes in mine where I took 1 stud out per row and it's still good

Like these guys said, it will be fine
Please dont put 1.375 studs in there. Will just slow you down for no reason.
