1000ft radar run results

Everything points to the Rage being slower. The only thing that makes any sense is Yamaha tweaked the Rages speedo to make us feel better or the Vector needs more weight to keep from spinning. I know hook-up was my biggest problem since I was getting beat by a 500zr and a 550 panther. Once I dailed things in(and put a few miles on) I walk away from both sleds, not even close. Kind of makes ya wonder.

Well....I have never raced a Vector....That would be fun.
Someone should do that on a lake and see who has more top end....
I beat up on the SKi-dont 600 h.o.,not even close...ever, and beat my buddies warrior off the line till bout 80, and off a roll till bout 70....but I havn't had much of a chance to race anything else...
I have seen 116 on the dream-o-meter so far...and could of kept going..

I hope to have the oppertunity this weekend for some good top speed runs. Heading up to Moosehead Lake. If I don't see what I think I should, I may try dialing in some more weight transfer to see if it helps.

The Vector is geared higher than the Rage but it is not shifting all the way out. Both the rage and vector use the same weights but the rage has 4.5g rivits in the tip and the vector has 3.6g rivits.

Gear the vector down and add 4.5g to the tip and you WILL gain some top end.

T-ReX1 is correct I pull more topend with a 20 tooth top gear and CPR clutching than a bud's stock Vector. The stock clutching gives up at about 100 MPH. I put the stock 22 tooth back in now to see if i will gain topend with the clutching, Have not come across any good topend running since to check it out. I pulled a 112 on dream meeter with clutching and 20 tooth top gear and slides getting warm. The stock clutching giving up at 100 was varified on Jeff simon's track dyno.

Tfin, take a magic marker and mark(draw a line) your clutch face. Drive it for a bit WOT. Then check your mark, easy way to tell if your not shifting out.

Yeah, I'll have to do that so I know for sure. Thanks.
