I have an 06 apex gt can I put a 128 cobra track with no studs under this sled, it does have the rear heat exchanger added will I have any clearance problems thanks

You can't fit a 128" track on your stock 121" skid/suspension unless you change the complete SKID to match up to 128", like a CAT or POO...why would you want a 128" you can get a 121" COBRA as a direct fit to your OEM skid/suspension here's what will fit your sled.

CAMOPLAST "COBRA"
9052H 15" x 121"
(38 cm x 307 cm) 1.352"
37 lbs (17 kg)

128 cobra

I wanted to buy railextensions from tracks usa with a 128" track. Ive researched on ty and I know it can be done with good results. What I am asking is about is clearance with a rear heat exchanger. After I posted this question I talked with Allen Ulmer from Ulmerracing and he said if I didnt run studs that I wouldn't have a problem. I want to try this set up becuase with all the power and torque of this engine on anything other than hard pack all I do is spin. One of my rear bogie wheels broke off today and the track caught on the sliderail and ripped lengthways. I like to break the backend loose in the corners and I ride a lot of tight trails so I didnt want to go with a 136" I am hopeing for a compromise between traction and handling.

You would be amazed how much more traction you can get with additional 4"+ of foot print. I have done this modification and it's one of the best improvements I could have performed to improve traction without going to 136" which for me is too much push in tight turns.

You can run a 128" suspension in a stock tunnel without any tunnel extensions. I would however recommend you have a '07 stiffer snowflap to prevent it from being sucked in.

I would be very careful if you have a rear heat exchanger and are running studs longer then 1.325". You may want to extend your tunnel protectors..

corba track

This summer i added a 121 corba with ext. drivers to my 07 rtx totally changed the sled. Now on soft snow i will pull my buddies by 3/5 lenghts on take off. On hardpack it just spins i didnt stud it yet still sick of changing wheels from last year. with studs and the corba u may not need the 128 inch track after all. I may have lost a small amount of top end not sure yet. Jeff
