13mm Sway bar

I put a 13 on my attak and it now sits in a box in my garage.
Couple o things. On uneven terrain it is desireable for an independant suspension to work independantly. Hitting a mogul with one ski results in the machine flipping over rather than the suspension absorbing it. I also found side hilling and carving to be very difficult. In fact I completely remove OEM sway bar when I plan on playing in the deep. Also , the 13 ripped the boots and tore them from the tunnel. You might want to look into a mod for that as they were very tricky to replace.

13mm is for GROOMED trails, I wouldn't reccomend it for any thing else, it does take a bit of getting use to...

The 13 mm bar isn't for everyone. I tried it and it turned the sled into what I would best describe as terrible.

I installed a set of sno-trackers for my trip to the UP. The Sno-Trackers turned it into a corner carving animal. I could feel the front end roll getting a little pronounced. I installed the 13 mm bar and lost all my carving ability. The sled wanted to push, hook, push and hook. It also rode far more harshly and less forgiving. Put the stock bar back on and it was a corner carving animal again. It must need to roll a slight bit to keep the carbide and ski planted, much like the way you transfer weight with the rear skid from front to rear.

I sold mine after one day of use, really didn't like it at all.

I just ordered one from 2 Kool Performance because they are in Canada and I won't have any tax or duty surprizes on delivery (been there!). I also found a used 12mm locally so I will try both and sell the one that doesn't suit me and post my opinion.

i get exactly what you are saying.....i think for me when i run Pilots with 6" shaper bars in middle,i get a great setup overal with my 13mm.

this is one of those MODS surely for groomed trail cornering, and it is a must to compliment the 13mm bar with a good deep carving ski and carbide.

Its funny how opinions differ.. I have tried a 12mm and a 13mm in my sled and even went back to the stock 11mm bar when my 13mm swaybar broke..

The 12mm just isnt enough.. the 13mm bar is just perfect IMO..

To each his own.. I dont think my sled rides rough at all..
