Hi guys, i bought an 18 apex 50th anniversary edition from an auction and they stole the ohlins adjustable reservoir over the belt cover. It is not available to buy seperatly from Yamaha. i tried without succes yet to find a used one, even with the shocks if i had to, but beeing this sled is so rare, i haven't had any luck. Im out of ideas and that front suspension is what makes that edition of the apex special in my opinion so id like to not put different shocks on it.

@kinger purchased the set new from Yamaha. Just not sure if it's still available as a set. Have you checked online or were you hoping to find used?

There have been other members who have purchased from them and have had good luck. They also many times have stock in Japan that you can buy as well, sometimes cheaper. @Mooseman was one of them, he may be able to give you his take.

@DARKMAN turned me on this site and it appears the shock is still available. Although I have used the site to search for other 'unavailable' parts, I haven't purchased anything from them.

In canada its not available. I have pretty good contacts at Yamaha. I havent checked in usa. Problem is i only need the remote reservoir, i already have the shocks :-(

Correct I bought the entire assembly, it seemed too good to be true, brand new $598 for both shocks, and the YSSR reservoir. I fully expected partzilla to refund it after order like they do sometimes when they realize they are no longer available. I got lucky. I just checked partzilla again and it doesn't show a option to buy the same part number i did. Sorry to hear this.

@cannondale27 fixed up a set of olin's for me before. you might have to make them single remote resi for each if the stock set up cannot be found.

Get Ohlins number on the shocks. Probably a YA number and I bet I can get the Reservoir from Ohlins. Might take awhile and will be expensive. I am a Ohlins dealer.

I was hoping we could get the number from the pics you took when you serviced my YRSS for the first time and created a post about it but unfortunately none of them show the number. The number is not visible on the reservoir as it's mounted so suspect it would have to be removed in order to obtain unless @kinger mounted his where the number is visible.

I’m 90% sure this is not an Ohlins part, that remote res assembly is most likely made by Soqi. @bjowett and I exchanged a few pm’s about it a couple of years ago.

They are not ohlins shocks.

that would have been very usefull!

so do you suggest i try contacting Soqi? never heard of them, thanks!
Soqi is the brand name, the company is actually Yamaha Hydraulic Systems, a division of the big Y. I suppose you could try reaching out to Soqi directly for some support, they might be helpful.

well i just looked as there used to be olin front shocks availible for the apex sleds on their site. not seeing them there any more. @cannondale27 as he is the man to get olins back into shape. done it for me before.
