3.3Oil and filter change, only 3 qts needed?
Does anyone have the part # for the oil change kit?
Checked online (Yamaha U.S. website) and no listing for SW.
Owners manual is calling for 0w-30 semi synthetic.
Are you guys running the full synthetic 0w-40 instead?
Does the oil, oil filter and 2 o-rings have to be purchased separate for the winders?
Thanks for the help!
First turbo for me guys...

Then you just need a little o ring for the plug. I had bags of the rubber o rings from skidoo clutch buttons that I use.

Yamaha Canadian website shows the part number for the Sidewinder. It’s SMB-OILCH-KT-24. It does show 0W-40 full synthetic.

First turbo for me guys...
Have been using the semi syn since I first got my 2017 Winder, and had to buy all separate from dealer.
This year they had the oil change kit, but only in full syn 0/40. Was told that Yamaha now recommends the full syn 0/40, so that is what I bought. I do not think it makes much difference to someone like me who changes oil every season and only puts on 1500- 2000 miles per year.
Years ago it was said that you needed to break in motor before switching to full syn. Now many cars and trucks come with full syn from factory, so there goes that myth. But then again I have more time for riding now, so may need the longevity oil life of full syn.

I used the Yamaha 0W40 kit on mine to keep with this warranty.
