Lake Conditions: Wind was slight to 5mph head wind on half mile smooth ice track
Speeds were as follows (slowest to the fastest)
Tom G Apex GT 114.6 totaly stock tall windshield studded 1.25 ripsaw 1325 woodys I think; he was the only one with a windscreen change ;the rest had stock for there model
Terry [nos] Apex Atackk 116.7 lots of long studs stock track ;Ullmer clutch kit
Tom T Apex RTX 116.9 totaly stock .91 lug 144 1075 woody's
Larry B ApexGT 117.4 geared down 1 tooth other wise totaly stock .91 lug 144 woodys 1175
Benny H 117.9 reverse removed geared down 1 tooth otherwise totaly stock .91 lug 1175 woodys
Brad G Apex GT 119.6 Geared down 1 tooth .91 lug no reverse 144 woody's 1175 minor clutch changes
My RTX ran 121.6 .91 track 144 woody's 1175 with my tricks done to it; those were the apex's that were there
my boy's 01 srx ran 119.6
Terry [nos-pro] came threw on the bottle at 127.6
No other brands seem to want to come and play with us, but maybe this Saturday that will change. In the drag racing part of the day, the stock track Apex's really suffer because they cannot come out of the hole at all. They got eaten up off the line pretty bad. Reverse gear seems to take about a half a mile an hour off the speeds. at 117 will it be more a higher speeds? Time will tell.

I like to run the lakes in our area and could use any advantage I can get.
I dont want my g/f to spank me with her 600 ho, and she does run fast ,115.1 in 1000 ft and now I have billet head and other stuff for hers.
Come on buddy help a brother out.

Do we dare ask what "tricks" you refer to, that give you that much of an advantage? I know you were going into a headwind, but I'm surprised some of those times weren't a little better. I got 114 on radar with my 05 RX1 with stock track, 192 picks, heavy hitters and ECP kit. I'm still waiting for my GT, and am anxious to get it on some top end runs. My uncle is presently setting up an ER with a .55 track, chisels, lowered suspension, etc.. Ill post results when i get them.

What were the dreamometers saying for these runs?

1ST ICE
Wolfie
Just fuel for thought on the speeds, things could be faster or slower the next day or from morning till night. Hard ice, soft ice colder, warmer what ever. All the sleds there were at stock height and trail studs. Lowering my RX1 was good for 3-4 mph just for example. By the way, Mach7 the speedo at 121 is about 137 on the speedo 125.5 is about 141 on speedo did that on my RX1. 155 is 139.9 did that on my Simon's turbo sled. Hope this helps.
