Well guys, put 30 miles on new sled and very impressed so far. I always break them in like I stole it, so here goes. Up to 15 miles no more than 8400 rpms, no studs, 101-103 mph. Loose snow. Next 15, 8500 rpms trail getting packed down, saw 105-107. All runs a little over 1/4 mile. Sled seems to pull until a flat spot then you can feel it start pulling again. Almost like it truly shifts into overdrive. You really feel it and then it doesn't stop pulling. Clutches and belt were very hot in the 1st 15 then seemed to get a lot better in the next 15. Belt looks great and little belt dust but not bad. Best part is sled responds like an Apex but pulls much harder! My 2cents if anyone cares! LOL

Day 2! 30 more miles and things are loosening up. In only 3/10s of a mile seeing 107mph with lots of track spin. Take a look at your clutches, mine is rattling like a son of a gun. Thought it might be weights but I think it is the bolts that go through the rollers on the primary. Checked to see if loose but they aren't. Only rattles when idling. Clutches are very warm but you can leave your hand on them. 8500 rpms all day again. Can't wait to stud this puppy. ..ooooops, I mean snake! Yamaha clutches especially on the three cylinder are known to be noisy. Loose is fast. Just remember that in clutches at least to a point.Day 2! 30 more miles and things are loosening up.
