i took my buddies 2 stroke sled this season on a ride.
we achieved 345 miles that day

the sled ended up with a engine issue that day
it was fixed under warranty

is it possible that the engine got issues because i wasn't always on full throttle ?

Lots of info on the 2-stroke side, but the carb jetting should be tuned for all throttle positions. However, with dirty or plugged carbs or lean mid-range jetting, staying in mid-range can result in damage. IMO running in mid-range did not cause the damage, but lean jetting or clogged carbs did.

Paul I think it was a bad crank bearing had nothing to do how you drove it. And yes I rode that axis equipped xtx and that thing is TRAIL MONSTER! :sled1:

mid range on polaris 800 is major problems, blew a motor due to mid range since from factory the fuel delivery map is wrong. it is incredibly lean in mid range, got a rebuild done and put on a pcv, no more detonation and runs 100% better, tripled the miles on it since last time it blew up

i gotta admit tho
i did have a crash on that very same Polaris on a previous ride, so when i did go out on it again i was a bit.........i donno if i should say cautious or scared. a bit of both, plus i was also trying to not crash it again since it wasnt my sled
