Wow maybe it will be different in US I dunno. I checked the US site and it still shows the trail seat. I'm still trying to find a dealer near me that has an xtx in stock. They have the le versions but not the SE so we will see here probably within a couple weeks

I just installed a 2 up seat made by rtk industries. I installed the deluxe seat. Super easy install and I can take off and put on the two up seat and literally 15 seconds! Very convenient when I need to take the lady on the back and then when I don't want to take the lady out! You can purchase the seat on eBay as well. Just search RTK Industries rear seat.

The STX comes with the HD bumper and a rear rack.
It would be your cheapest and easiest choice!

How much drilling, etc, was involved in putting those support brackets on the tunnel?

Over twenty rivets to remove, four are extra heavy duty that are very difficult to drill out and required cutting off. It's a couple hour job if you have the tools and have done a couple. a pneumatic riveter is also a great tool especially for installing the heavy duty rivets.

I am installing the same seat as I am writting these lines. Would you mind to post a picture of where you drilled your holes on the tunnel? I have my licence plate number in this area and I am wondering if it is possible to move around a bit the measurements provided in the instructions.
Thanks!

I was wondering if you guys with the Yamaha seat got the optional heated grips? It says on the description that they are an option with the additional switch. If you did I am interested in how they wire up? Also did you have to order the Yamaha seat through the Canadian Yamaha division, instead of the U.S. I can't find any thing through my U.S. dealer, but the Canada online parts and accessories shows the seat. It also says you can put them on a RTX 129"? Do you guys with the XTX's see any reason they would not fit right on a RTX? The rtx has quite a bit of tunnel as well. thanks

Yes I did get the heated grips. They seem to be feed by a factory plug in. maybe for the heated seat option not sure but they are not ran directly off the battery. I believe the seat will fit the Rxt fine the only difference is the bumper bar you add for the rtx is shorter than the xtx

Quick thought on 2 up viper seat. How easy is it to pop off seat to get to battery if you have the 2 up option on with the braces and all the extra hardware?
