I bought the heelclickers set-up for my RX1 this fall and had my dealer install them with white spring. It seems my mileage has gone down. I also notice it is reving up to 14,000 grand or so right away then drops down to about 10,500. Dealer installed per directions. Any suggestions on better set-up with these.

14000? Are you sure that you don't mean 10400? The electronic limiter shouldn't let you go over 11500, and the engine will explode if you exceed 12500.

It is normal for it to overrev on launch due to poor hookup with 121" track. Ideally, you'll be running it at 10400.

Sorry about that, I ment 11000 or so. I do have 1.25 inch track (no studs) so I am getting decent traction. I do have a buddy who rode it for about 6-7 miles or so in deep lake powder (foot and a half or so) that thinks he saw the tack up around 11400-11500.

Believe me, it doesn't matter that you have a 1.25" track. As soon as you hit the throttle, it'll break free and spin madly until it starts to hook up. That being said, you definitely need to get that speed down. Add as much weight to the heel as you need to get the off-the-line speed down to 10500. Don't even bother trying to get it any lower, I tried with my HH's when I still had 121x1.25", and no matter how much weight I added, it would never go less than 10500, then adjust your other two holes so that it pulls back to 9800-ish, and creeps back to 10400.

With the 144x1.25", it does *not* overrev off the line.

I hate to say this about any product but, take them things (nice word) and use them for paper weights and maybe you can use the spring as a helper on your pick up truck.

Get yourself a set of heavy hitters and a warrior secondary spring.
Set the Heavy hitters like this
1/4 and 3/4 allen in heel
7/16 bolt and thick washer in middle
3/8 bolt and thin washer in tip

Set Warrior spring on 3-3.

I have both an 03 RX1 and an 04 Warrior with this setup and they both fly and get 15+ mpg even in the tight and windy stuff.

Hope this helps.

I have the HC's and they work great for me! Pegs to about 10400 off the line and then drops to 10200 and holds it. They definately take some monkeyin' around with but once you get it they work great. Its been so long since I installed them I dont remember what weight I used where but every sled is different so you should just tune to yours. We spent some time on my weights grinding the screws until all of them were within a tenth of a gram. Haven't had any problems(knock on wood) with them yet.

White primary spring
Silver Secondary wound to 80
136" 1.25 Ripsaw w/138 1.40" studs
