2003 RX1 in need of some attention

Yes thats what i'm trying to do but it wont move... is it possible that it is jamed or something ??

EDIT
Ok I knocked it gently with a hamer and it worked... belt is now removed. Thanks !

Apply brake and put 2 x 12mm wrenches on the screws on the front of clutch and use them to turn the helix- some are pretty stiff. You can also get a belt changing tool that is a flange that mounts to the clutch and has a screw that inserts to force them apart.

What I do is get a good grip on the back half of the secondary and push it backwards as I twist. The belt will fall into the groove, pull it off the bottom side and peel it off.

Primary Clutch Removal
Ok ! So I removed the secondary clutch and the speedo thing to access the bearings. they were very dirty with old grease. Drenched all that with wd-40 and cleaned with my compressor a couple times. I think they're good to go at least for a couple season ? (see pics) Will refill all that with fresh grease using the needle.

BUT... Trying to remove the primary cluctch. I wasnt able to pull it out, did some research and realized I need a clutch puller to do that .. So do I need to get one ? Is it a good idea (worth it?) to remove the clutch to clean and grease the bearing ? (will it be accessible?)
Thanks here is some pictures !

There are no bearings behind the primary clutch. It is Easyer to clean while disassembled when off but not nessasary. No lube in clutches at all btw if you are not aware.

I've read about people removing the primary clutch without a puller by using the bolt that holds it on. They use water or grease and put it inside the clutch the bolt goes and then instal the bolt back in the clutch. When you tighten the bolt it'll build hydraulic pressure and pop the clutch off. If you use water you will probably need some teflon tape on the threads of the bolt so it doesn't leak. I've never tried this method, but I've read about quite a few people doing it this way. If you decide to get a puller I would recommend getting a Yamaha puller. Some aftermarket pullers don't last very long at all.

The crankcase breather allows the crankcase vapor to be pulled into the airbox and back through the motor and burned. I'd replace it with one from the parts vendors on here. I would not put a underhood breather in and vent it inside the engine bay. Main reason is oil mist vented in the engine bay getting on clutches and what not. Put it in the airbox!

03 RX1 new for me this year. Looking forward to some riding.

My vent tube has been replaced with 5/8' heater hose and runs into the K & N filters with a PCV tee'ed into the bottom
