2006 Apex Snowmobile- Dash goes blank when riding down trail

Dash goes blank, but lights stay on and engine keeps operating without issue. After a while the dash goes back on intermittently. anyone have ideas?

Have you removed the headlight pod recently. Check your speedo bearing for failer, but most likely its the connections under the headlught pod.

Had the same issue in my 06 did the typical test myself wiring connectors, power and ground ended up finding short in gauge pod switched with a buddies apex when it acted up, pod bad took it to dealer because i had extended warranty and they trouble shot replaced computer and sent me on my way still acted up took pack then finally replaced gauge pod check ebay cheapest bet

I have headlight pod off and have been moving wiring and can't reproduce problem. How would speedo bearing affect dash power. I am beginning to believe I have a bad ground. does the Apex have a common ground lug?

I found the (2) ground blocks by primary clutch

Still looking for other ground blocks. Re-soldered (2) by clutch and still have no dash power.

if the spedo berring was destroyed it would eat the speed sensor and cause a shot and that has been known to cause the dash to go blank.check fuses as well.otherwise it sounds like the above mentiond prob with the pod take up team blue on his offer if you dont have a friend near with one to try swaping.

Has the speedo wire harness been modified? I ask because I have had my speedo on the handlebar riser on both of mine.
