I bought a 2006 Attak 144" a couple of months ago, and I love the sled. It was too quiet for me so I put an Excell system on it, and boy it sounds good, but you need earplugs to ride it. My question is- it feels like I lost some mile an hour and some ooomph since I put the exhaust on it. Any ideas? Thanks, Don

Well Don... First, I've never seen where an exhaust like that helps the performance, just the opposite in many cases. Second, if you need earplugs to ride it then it must be really annoying to those around you, let alone the fact that Michigan now has "noise laws" and you're probably over the DB level. Third, If you ride the trails in Michigan, do us all (and your hearing) a favor and put it back to stock.

I'm seriously considering changing it back to stock, but now I have a useless $800.00 exhaust system. I ride with a LEO and he did a sound check on it and suprisingly it was over by a hair, but still over. I did not buy it to help lose our trail systems, just wanted a better sound.THKSNOW said:Well Don... Install a cold air intake system and the performace will improve. Nicer sound too. A lot less expensive. http://www.fixpowersports.com/pages/cus ... r-kit.aspx
