I am looking for anyone that might have ran into this issue before. On the rear suspension you have the aluminum part that connects the front and rear shock together. Inside the aluminum part there is two housing with needle bearings in them. Mine are shot and I was looking at the microfishe and there are no replacement numbers for just the housing and needle bearings. So my question is does the aluminum part come with the housing and needle bearings? Or am I going to have to find them elsewhere? I attached a microfishe of what im talking about it is item 28 and two of the holes have these housings and bearings in them. Thanks for any help http://www.portyamaha.com/fiche_section ... fveh=13034

I didn't realise there were bearings in there? Judging by the price, I'd say they all come together. Just had my skid out, never thought to take that part apart and throw some grease in there. Anyone know the torque on those bolts when it goes back together, use locktite or not? This is why this site is the best!!

i would say if you can tap or press the needle bearing out of the aluminum you could take it to a local bearing shop and they should be able to match it up and order you new ones. if they don't come out easily you could try heating up the aluminum block with a plumbing torch. the outer cage of the needle bearing should be steel so the aluminum should expand faster around it and loosen up. didn't realise there were bearings in there either gonna check mine now thanks.

anyone found a way to replace thoses needle bearing ?

need to pull that wheel out and replace it. usually you pull the wheel out, remove the snap ring that holds the bearing in the wheel and then i tap them out with a hammer and punch.

I think he’s talking about the needle bearings in that aluminum linkage maim. They’re likely similar to the set up in the ends of a Mono transfer rod, and need to be pressed out after you remove that piece from the skid.

ok. delt with that pita on the phazer before we put in the schmitt bros one. i pull the pin and pack that one every year with a waterproof grease. swear i am going to put a grease fitting on it at some point.
