I took the sleds out this am and after a little bit of riding I noticed around 4500-6500 with constant throttle pressure I would hear/feel it miss. Grab more throttle and it goes away, sled has good power, idles great, just seems to have a miss in that rpm range.

TPS?

That kinda how my thread started. Phazer miss

Progressively got worse to the point of barely running. End result ended up being plugs.
I had no codes when the plug finally crapped out

Process of elimination lead me to plugs.
I sucked fuel off bottom of tank and put outside in glass jar. Was -30's and no fogging. I'd be 99.9% sure it wasn't bad. Or the .01% chance got sucked into cylinders and triggered the issue.

Sounds the same as my problem and only gets worse as time goes on. 2007 also. Fix the yellow ground connector between the rad and oil tank first. Sure to be a burnt up connector or 2 in it when you take the black tape off and inspect it. Next, the Throttle Position Sensor may have dead spots or out of range. That was my fix. Also caused reverse issues also as time went on. Great wealth of info here but you have to dig.

well just got done putting plugs in. Was the ground a recall?

Thanks for the feedback, as mentioned all of the recalls have been completed as far as I know. If the plugs don't fix it, I will dig deeper.

Check the coils close for hairline cracks, usually a bad coil will first be noticeable under lean conditions such as part throttle cruising as it takes a stronger spark to light a lean mixture.

Not really, it just my experiance with Ford Coil-on-plug engines. Hairline crack slowly allow the oil inside to seep out over time and weaken the spark. The Coils on our sleds are very similar. One of mine has the mounting tab cracked off but it still works.

Thanks for the input, I cracked a tab on mine(like an idiot) put a bunch of epoxy on it. Hopefully we get some more snow to see if the problem goes away. I will say it used to be a long crank starter, and after the new plugs it started easier.
