Got my sled serviced last year and drove it all season long. After each ride I would look over the sled before putting it in the garage for any issues. But over the summer I have notice a leak coming from the chain case side of the sled. I never hit the bottom of the sled to cause this leak and like I said the sled was serviced at the beginning of last year. Do anybody know what would be causing this?
Thanks

An oil leak can come from anywhere. Take a look at where it is coming from, it could be the chain case or engine oil.

Ok, so I found out it is chain case oil. I took the panels off and have noticed that the oil is coming from here the shaft goes into the chain case. Do anybody know what this could be?

I realize this is an older thread, but thought i'd answer anyways.
There is a small copper tube that goes from the chaincase (near the top next to the jack shaft) over to the reverse gear box.
It is common for chaincase oil to leak from this area. It is very difficult to see a leak coming from this area because its way up in there and by the time oil gets to an area you can see, it tends to be spread out.
The copper tube has an updated part, the new part is slightly longer.
I had a chaincase oil leak issue on my '07 Phazer , this was the issue. Once I had done research, it seems to be fairly common. I havent verified on my Venture MP that its the same setup, but I'm assuming it is.

It is the same setup except that the OP did mention that it is coming from the drive shaft seal. It is good to know that what affects the Phazer also affects the VL/MP.

What was the new part? My VL is back in the shop again because of the same leak. When you say a copper line coming from the chain case, where is the line going too? My dealer chanced me $650 last year and he still never fixed it.
