2007 Yamaha Phazer
Recently purchased my first sled this year which is a base model 2007 Phazer and I was just wondering what everyone would recommend for mods or upgrades to do to it. The tunnel close off kit is on my list already. Thanks in advance!

Check that it has had all its updates done. Lots of things that can be improved upon. Check the FAQ in this section.

I'm parting my Phazer and have a tunnel close off kit.Check out my post in the classifieds.

What I recommend:

1. Shimming skis
2. Oilite front end bushings
3. UP Bushman's steering upgrade kit.
4. OFT steering block
5, Shaper bars for skis
6. Dupont sliders
7, Tether switch
8. Ulmer's or Schmidt Bros clutch kit.
9. Yamaha's wiring kit for the hand warmers or Yamaheaters
10. Rock's ThumbBoost.

Awesome thank you very much! I took the sled for the first time Saturday and again today, can't believe how hard to is to turn on the thing.. I already have new Woody carbides ordered from a local shop should be here Monday or Tuesday. Thing doesn't sound too good either at low revs so I'm gonna take the panels off tomorrow and take a look at everything. What's one do for "shimming the skis"?

Looks pretty easy thanks Cubby.

Anyone know if the dealership would install aftermarket parts that aren't "Yamaha" ? I probably wouldn't be able to do the OFT steering block, Up Bushman's steering kit upgrade and Oilite front end bushing's myself as I don't have a garage or access to one and it's starting to hit close to -20 now..

Yep that's the one.

I had my mechanic install the oilite bushings, Bushman's steering kit, and sliders. Everything else I did myself. Much easier to do it in the fall (when its warm) or in a heated shop!

Great thanks! Yeah we'll we finally got snow here and there should be more on its way so I'd like to get this stuff done before the rest comes. I might as well get all of it done professionally and where it's warm lol.

Good news too, my 6" Woody's trail blazer carbides came in today! Also called the dealership and ordered the Yamaha tunnel kit and Oilite bushings :)
