What is the size on a stock 2008 rear idler wheel? I am look to replace both of mine but cant find the specs. Also, are there alternatives to buying straight from Yamaha that are much more cost effective? I am looking at buying one for $40 or less.

I just purchased a used pair of 7" 7 spoke Yamaha wheels from Barn of Parts Sled Salvage in the classifieds. Right in your price range if he still has some.

Dennis Kirk or any aftermarket company you have in the States. They will also be the same style and have replaceable bearings . Should be a 7" wheel I think.

Yamaha sells the updated ones with replaceable bearing in their accessories catalogue for $40 spoked or $45 for the stock...
They also sell billet and a cheaper stock looking one...

I second barn of parts, Travis is a great guy and ships fast, has parts in decent condition to new condition so you may have other choices, he often parts out like new machines.
