Finally got to buy an xtx after owning a fx nytro for one year. Got this 2009 nytro xtx w/ 4k miles for $5200. Decided it was a good time to do a bunch of maintenance which includes the following.
cr10eix* plugs
new exhaust donuts
header to muffler donut gasket
graphite slides
larger skidoo idlers- "havnt added 4th location one in the middle yet."
oil/filter change "amsoil 0w40
chaincase lube change. synthetic
its got skidoo precision skies i might change out for 6.9 pilots
added
excel header
super Q silencer
pcv w/ ulmer map
ulmer xtx clutch kit.
I had a blast on my fx nytro last year but it had low miles and had everything done before i bought it so didnt have to do anything. is there anything im missing on my sled that might leave me stranded? Im doing the led light for the starter relay today and planning on trailering it up this weekend or next. Let me know what you all think otherwise cya on the trails!

Make sure you have the updated relays for the fuel pump. Had troubles with Dad's and mine sled - same issue.
Maintenance, toe in, track tension, and greasing rear end.
A set of k&ns would be nice!

On my XTX I had a problem with the wiring harness just below the radiator rubbing on the frame on the left side. This caused my sled to shut down completely as if I hit the kill switch. I know others have had this problem on their XTX's. Also check the mounting tabs on the oil tank they tend to be weak. I replaced with the OFT tank. Front end bushings & ball joints?

gc-srt, do you happen to know the part number for all the updated relays? i heard of the starter relay getting stuck but not the fuel one.
as far as the driveshaft and driven shaft bearing are those just pressed into the chain case or does it mean having to unbolt the whole chaincase and remove the assembly?
ill go check out the harness below the radiator and make sure its not rubbing or ruining any wires. then wrap it up with buncha tape so it wont have that problem.
front bushings and ball joints look pretty good. might have been replaced already if i had to guess.
Already greased every zerk on the rear end i could find. at least 8 of them if i remember right. track tension is about an inch of sag w/o weight on the track.
thought toe out was prefered for better handling. i know thats how i improve turn in on my autox car. bit of toe out helps but i have been wrong before with sled stuff.

Dealer will have them on look up, make sure your are clean and not corroded. Then coat with dielectric grease works well.
Driveshaft bearing is on clutch side below secondary. Held on with set screws, soak with penetrate oil before trying to remove. Pretty easy job if the bearing isn't rusted on the shaft.
The rub spot is clutch side front of the engine. There is a nub on the block, zip tie the harness away from it to the frame.
Your looking for 1/4 toe out.
Nytro faq has a lot of information about all your questions

I just pulled the suspention of my 2010,5700 miles, to change to BC track. I was suprised to find a loose boggie (Top) not a bad bearing but the alluminum cross shaft is worn. The plastic bushings on the rear shaft are also worn and in need of replacement.
