I measured 14 inches from the back of the exhaust brackets to the end of the tunnel. I think you can relocate the taillight to where the rear reflector is with some creativity.

Has anyone tried out the Yamaha fuel Caddy's to see how much fab would be needed to get them to work on a XTX or S.E.? Why they wouldn't make a set to go the XTX is beyond me. The tailight looks like it may be too tall, but you cold also have the rear rack step-up over the tail light assembly, depending on you fuel can it may work.
