Your garage is way too clean.

No Joke, do you realy need a chair like that for working on a sled?

Do you have a seat for it drew? I have one off a 07 if not.

Oh and if you want that "mod" hood i'll be running to Valdez this weekend I can pick it up

I do need a seat, and ill let you know on the hood. I pretty much need alot of things, well everything plastic and, well, the list is long!!!

This is just one of many projects for me this summer. Next will be a 2010 tunnel to be powder coated, possibly a mcx turbo build, some timbersled parts to be put on and a few tricks up my sleave on my own sled, but all in due time.

Bought it from a guy who sailed it off a cornice, supposedly a 100ft drop. It looks pretty bad so im not doubting it but a little spitshine and elbow grease and it will all buff out........ i hope.

Got the wet weight on my sled today as a baseline to see how I do with weight loss this summer.

612 wet weight with stock tank
add 3 gallons of gas for the new trail tank to get me to what I believe is proper fuel range of 50-100 miles puts me at 630.

Now I will weigh it in the fall and see how I did, But I will not drop any weight with out being able to make it tougher at the same time so its not just a weight saving project. It needs to be able to take a pounding weekend after weekend.

Picked up my tunnel today. It's going to take some careful trimming to get it to fit just right but I don't think it will be too bad. The extension is going to be .063(tunnel is .080) but I'm waiting to do my cooling and rear bumper first.

Got the other bulkhead corner cut off and cleaned both of them up.

I'm working on the front cooler right now, trying to get a little more clearance.

Looks good Caleb!

Well since I still have not gotten my garage situation taken care of and I just might ride this weekend I don't want to tear my sled down yet. So I'm starting with my custom skid project.

Basically I have my cat M 141 skid, a m-10 skid and a extra set of remote ressi evol x's. So the plan is to take all and turn into one awesome (i hope) skid. I am going to use the 141 cat rails because they are tough as nails and I can't find a way to bend them. The 1 1/4" m-10 cross shafts and geometry from the cat torque arms then incorporate a similar design to the nextech mono skid with a single evol x.

First project is to make a jig for the cat torque arms. So I can make a mild steel mock up set to start playing with the mounts for the mono set up. Then the same jig will be used to make the final set from 4130. Making the jig and mock up torque arms will also be good for more practice with the new tig welder. Doing something other than flat welds and be useful at the same time will be good.

After staring at the sled and drinking a few beers I finally got my front cooler figured out. I wanted some more track clearance without having to modify too much. I ended up gaining around a 1/2". Biggest hurdle was finding new rivet holes, the die cast frame doesn't leave you very many options. I have to trim a little more and then I can rivet it in place for good.

Engine installed to make sure the cooler wouldn't interfere with anything

Clearance gained, it's actually more than it looks because the cooler also moved upward
