My neighbour is considering getting a 1200 mxzx and I'm just curious if anyone has ridden it, raced it, or compared it against an apex gt?

I'm never gonna doo it but he's wondering how it compares to mine.

Thanks in advance

That 1200 has no chance , that apex will get it from hole shot to the top , but the 1200 does handle very well on the trail and the seating is very nice

Ya like nytro said, the apex should kill it,but like all races not every thing is crystal clear, some of the 1200 doo's are tweaked a little, differant clutches, pipe and geared, and will run with an apex at that point, stock no way,my buddy ownes an attack and his brother has the 1200 doo,ya the doo runs good till 80-90 than all most done, not sure if it even breaks the c-note,happy race.

I have a 12 apex se and my wife has a 09 1200 renegade. I totally agree with what both people said but a have seen 115 on the 1200's speedometer. It records the top speed.

Stock VS stock no way the doo can hang but with header and some good clutching they will be a force that you may have trouble with. Good luck :sled1:

Ya,speedos are all off to some degree,i had the dooxp800 and the speedo was way more accurate than any of my apex dreamometers, but it was showing 120 speedo on max or just watching,it climb but once I was able to look at my gps, well another story 113 gps so at that speed it was off 7 mph high,my confusion and my poo fst turbo same thing, and even my new 13 f1100 cat turbo, same thing about 6-7 mph high after you go past the c-note.
