ok ok ok what the heck is that?

This is what to look for from a good source. Apex GT with a Nytro based chasis with new power assisted steering technology and more then likely an updated ski with improved stock carbide runners. Then an High out put version of the current Apex motor.

Consumers have been asking Yamaha for a kids sled for years that is a possible build for them in the future, those blue prints and diagrams have been out for a while now. :yam: It sure would be nice for a kid to get that under the tree! :jump:

Other than the new sled being an replacement for the Apex, my guess based on the fact that it kind of looks like the Phazer is that is going to be called the Exciter, which has been rumoured for an few years.

It will be based on the Phazer, and they will basically just add another Jug to the engine giving you an 750cc 120 HP tripple that spins at 11,000 rpm. It could sound pretty mean and should be right around 500 lbs.

The reason to use is I would guess that this engine would weigh substantially less (and take up less space) than the 973cc Vector engine, but with Gear reduction have similar HP and Torque levels.

How do you figure that a 3-cyl is going to weigh substantially less than a... what was that? A 3-cyl? To put this into better perspective, the phazer engine has a stroke 12.6mm shorter than the vector engine, and a bore just 2mm smaller. Build a 3-cyl based on the phazer and you save at best a couple of pounds, but then you need to gear it down and spin it real fast. It certainly isnt going to save any space! Its not practical to design what amounts to a whole new engine for that, the practical benefits are simply non-existent.

And the fact is that there's really no reason to add a 120 hp FX when there is already a 130! If they're planning on another FX that happens to be between phazer and nytro, its going to be somewhere in between the two, not radically skewed to one side or the other because there really wouldn't be any kind of distinction.

But if you bore out the phazer to, say 84mm (and add a little bit of tweaking here and there to compression ratio, valve timing, etc.)! Then you get something with practical differences! That would be a 600cc twin and could make around 105-ish hp... half way between phazer and nytro. Something like that would top out very close to 100mph (maybe even go marginally over if the track approach angle is low) and be comparable to very common 600cc 2-strokes without being a weakling like the phazer, and without being a heavy and overpowered brute like the 1000's. Something like THIS would sell real easy. I would buy one.

Im hoping to see a full size pic of handlebars and a slogo on the bottom "the new 2010 yamahas, the warmest handwarmers in the buisness".

That look like a patent reply to the Polaris Rush.

looks like a sno hawk

Pretty much is, but with MX style rear suspension and a hybrid bike type front suspension. I don't think this is the answer. I have still yet to see a snow hawk on the trails or in use besides on videos.

Now if they do that with 2 front skis, then they would be on to something nice.
