Please read ones opinion

Look at the R1-R6 big sellers for them. When we see a yamaha bike we see more of these bikes then any other ones. The other bikes sell a lot less but poeple still buy new ones of them, the race like bikes need changing every few years to keep up with the guys buying them. If yamaha keep selling the same R1 for multiple years like the apex they would lose almost all of there sales to Honda CBR's. Yamaha snowmobiler seem to be happy put 10,000 mile on are sled like its a competition to see who has more miles. Skidoo/Cat/Poo guy want the latest and greatest little thing.

Last R6 redo 2006 very much needs some updates. R1 2009. Economy sucks no one ponying up $$$ for sport bikes either. R1 did get traction control last year but really needs more Hp. as the crossplane feels like a weak sister compared to the competition.

Not trying to be a jerk here but as a sportbike guy they are starting to fall behind in the bike market as well. Honda just released a new CBR600RR and the European brands are starting to be competively priced and are more willing to try new tech.

Is it all part of thier marketing plan to ride out a rough economy? Maybe. Do I still want an updated Apex and would pay big $$ for it? Yes I do!!!
