I changed my oil tonight and after I started it it was flashing the caution yellow light, engine symbol and 46. I haven't used the sled yet this year and after googling I found it has something to do with input voltage. I checked battery cable, all tight and like new. Could it just be that the battery needs charging? The engine starts up perfect and idles great.

Others will chime in but when did you last charge your battery? Battery tenders should come with every sled.
Edit: just looked up code 46. Sounds semi serious

I charged it last night and code is still there, with engine off or on.

The Service Manual indicates the code 46 symptom as Power Supply to the ECU is not normal. Based on previous experiwnce with my 08 Phazer, I would check all the ground bus connections for corrosion.

I changed the donuts at the end of last season and didn't drive it since, would there have been any connectors I forgot to re-connect? The battery is showing 13.9-14.1 with engine off and up to 18.5 at idle.

I just looked up the code in my manual it lead me to the charging system testing procedure shows you have a problem with your rectifier regulator. The manual states the charging voltage at the battery should be 14.0 volts at 5000 rpm. I am guessing that 18.1 at idle is high and causing the problem. Hope this helps you may want to jack up the back and run it at 5000 rpm as the manual states but I don't think its going to change. good luck jdp
