2010 Yamaha!!

I agree with Cody. Yamaha needs to take a serious look at their chassis. If ski doo can do it surely Yamaha can. Maybe not as much weight but there are a lot of options to take. Yamaha has a solid engine line up with only rare problems. I believe it's time for them to treat their loyal followers for the past decades to something that will make the competition truly blue with envy! Yamaha has had lots of time to think since the Apex and now Nytro platforms have come and slowly gone. It's time to reinvent the face of Yamaha and stay in the game of weight!

exactly even though with little power and not the nicest looking sled i loved my phazer i still do but i just cant have a sled that wont run when i wanna ride i go riding every day. for the first few years into 4 strokes skidoo has yamaha in a bit of a situation they can either reinvent their sleds with a good reliable engine work out all the bugs and have a sled to make skidoo and others run. Or they can reinvent their sled and not do much testing and have many recalls their not the only one that dont test their sleds to make sure their isnt any problems for example skidoos driveshafts. I just think if i were to make a sled i would put as much time testing it as possible to work out the bugs. before i launch a bunch of sleds to the consumers.

I just think it's time to re-invent the platform that Yamaha uses. Ski-doo put so much effort into making sure that every sled was listed with comparisons to each brands weight(even though all companies weight declarations aren't entirly true) on each model of sled. Now I'm not looking for Yamaha to play monkey see monkey do but lets face it, there should be no reason that Yamaha's current weight of their Apex MTN should be tipping the scale at 600lbs dry. Surely they must have the wisdom to compensate for this. Dont get me wrong I am completly brand loyal now and that's thanks to the four stroke advantage that I realized 2 years ago when I began the sport of snowmobiling and purchased a brand new apex mtn. Back then the weight issue had not been that much of an issue due to the opposition not making too much of a big deal to make a relative new comer to the sport realize. So I went ahead with Yamaha and the excitement if the 4-stroke era. Well now a couple years have past and we are now seeing weight comparisons, exciting new lightweight platforms and weight reductions of close to ten pounds a year on almost all of the competion except Yamaha. I do believe that if I was to have waited that one year and heard about the XP I definetly would have purchased that dues to ski doo always pushing the bar and taking the risk. As a consumer it shows me that this company is going to be taking this to the next level. I really don't know what to say about doo's 4 stroke but time will tell. I can sit back and just watch how much ski doo has done over the past couple years to try and push the industry forward and with that hopefully it pushes others as well. I'll admit Yamaha has done a pretty good job with their four strokes and I am proud of mine and I'll never get rid of it for anything but I just feel the customers of Yamaha deserve so much more for their 15,000 that they spend compared to the 10,000 for four strokes from other brands.

Here it is

I said there was going to be a long tracked Nytro before it was actually out last year,So as far as I go I am 1-1.

i also heard from a high up yamaha employee that there a new 175 extreme light weight sled comming 2010

ok this is what ive heard. not putting any trust in it till i see it cause its the same thing every year. 100-120 hp veraint of the phazer. which i dout with out a new mill. a 170-180 nytro with relaxed ergos and suspention for more of a high speed groomed trail/ lake sled. once again only rumors ill belive when i see it. i didnt believe my old boss about the new polaris till i saw it and his name is in the polaris race sled tech manual for race suport. so hes in fairly constant contacts with the higher ups in polaris.
