2011 Apex Dyno #'s ?

My dealer told me the new Apex is a few lbs lighter than the 2010, also the Apex XTX 2011 is lighter than the Apex LTX 2010. A lot of things is redesigned if you look closer. The deltabox frame is now a die cast aluminum part, lighter and stronger then the old part.

It's heavier then the 2010 Apex, but's lighter then the Apex LTX. I really like this sled, bit it's still a tank... They could of made that sled wuith a 3 banger and brought it in at the same weight as the Nytro or lighter, but we already know that.

According to Dirk;

In the Yamaha area on Amsnow, Woody from Woody's Yamaha in Topsham Maine says he is seeing 164 hp on a stock 2011 Apex and 170 with some mods.[filters, controller etc.]

Hmmmm.

That would be nice.

Yamacharged one at 184 ish would be sweet as well. Wouldn't miss my SC RX 1at all.

;)!

163.7 HP at 10,400 rpm. Torque must be up nicely. Based on his exclamation marks it appears Woody is suitably impressed.

Tar test 1/4 mile results there now as well. Poor day for testing. 94 degrees air temp and 137 degrees track temp

Thank you Riceburner nice job.

Was able to air out 2011 xtx out on the lake un supervised. If you look at my past posts i said over 160 but-ometer.
Dyno numbers are coming in mid 160"s. Don't kid yourself, Yamaha is keeping your insurance down and avoiding a horsespower war.
Its going to surprise a lot of people. It Rocks!!........... all day long.
