Just wondering if anyone could post some pics of the rear of a 2011 Apex tunnel. Looking for some close-ups of the snowflap-bumper area. I have an 06 APex extended to 128 and want to extend my tunnel for clearance. Just curious what Yamaha did to the 2011's to make them fit. Thanks.
There is a few pics on the yamaha web site. You can zoom in also.

Perfect. Thanks. Man, it would be nice to incorporate a cooler that size on my 06.

That would be sweet and would keep our older models a ton cooler in lower snow conditions!!!!
It kind of looks similar to a srx heat exchanger.

Huh, I thought it looked like my attak cooler in size, only the attak cooler IS FLAT. Do you guys really think it is bigger than the attak cooler????

The SRX cooler is closer to a right (90 degree) angle from the tunnel to the "bumper" flange. The one in the picture appears to be closer to 120 degrees. Could be an optical illusion though...

If you wanted something that size, you would have to use a 136 length tunnel extension.
I just picked up a Apex XTX, and even though it has a 144" track, its the same size a 136" sled, same as the Attacks, same as the LTX Vectors. They are all 118.1" long overall.

That is true but it is because they moved the skies 7 or 8"'s back on the Apex XTX and that is why the front to rear number is the same as the LTX and Attack.. The track is still longer.

Talked to the Yamaha Factory Rep, at the snow show over the weekend, and they DID NOT move the skis back 7-8 ".

Are the rear and running board exchangers just a hollow cavity in the middle or are there fins? Thought of building some rear coolers.

Well, decided to build my own tunnel extension. I'll post pictures when I get a chance. Just wondering if anyone with an 11 or newer Apex could measure the rear heat exchanger. I may try to incorporate one into my 06. Just need to know the width, lenght and how deep it is or the distance from top of tunnel to base of the exchanger at the very back.

Ok, just measured it,
Width- 13 1/4 "
Length- 8 1/4 "
top of tunnel to the base at the very back- 4 3/8 "
Hope this helps you out
