Are you going with a 136 length tunnel extension , or close to that ?

Glad you mentioned that. Actually, I'm extending to 128 so I'm extending my tunnel by 4". Not sure but I thought the 11' 128" had a rear exchanger also. I think it is the 128 shown in the picture above. If there is one on a 128" apex I was hoping to get the dimesions for that one.

i personally would go with the vector type rad as it does not attach to the snow flap area, which is the first thing to bend if your snow flap gets sucked in while reversing or getting unstuck

Thanks for the info. Anyone have any pics of one. What year did they start putting them in the Vector?

2010, but they were much smaller.
The 2011 128 Apex, has the same rear heat exchanger, as the Apex XTX.

we have got 2008s and 2010s and they both have the rad in the back

Did the '08 's come that way from the factory, or were they added on later. I thought 2010 was the first year for the rear heat exchanger on the Vectors, and I could be wrong.

Well, I just looked at the '08 Vector parts fiche, and yes it has the small rear heat exchanger......my bad....LOL

Well after taking some measurments I don't think the 11' apex one will work. Mostly due to the exhaust configuration. I need something around 5"x14".

Nick1945 said:You could get one like this from Yamaha, or Pioneer Performance. They are about $ 150.00.
This is on my '06 RS Nytro, its out of harms way, and my track is studded, and I never had a problem.
The size of this one looks perfect but the only issue is that it doesn't seem to mount flat against the underneath of the tunnel but rather hangs down. If I leave it in the stock location the track will still hit. Any way this could be mounted flush on the underneath or anyone know of a cooler this size that mounts flush? Any of the older 2 strokes or anything have one?

Here's a thought. You could buy the small cooler picture above and if you know a good welder just cut the elbows off and rotate them so the cooler could lay flat like you want.

You dont even need a welder just cut them off then rotate the unit and use a short piece of tube to connect the rad to the elbow, exactly how Ulmer and others do with the larger unit when they get it to tuck up in there nicer then stock.
Only issue is you will have to cut off the brackets in the back side that its riveted to the sled now and you wont be able to support it with anything other then the rubber hoses on each side. Which is fine.

Okay, great idea. That's what I'm going to do. This way I can use the stock holes in the tunnel for a cleaner look. Thanks again for the tips.
