There is a 14mm headed bolt that goes thru the lower bulging part of the chaincase cover, (Sorry no pics yet), its not one the ones used to hold the cover on that go around the perimeter. Ive tried to find out what its for as its come loose and spun a little curling the aluminum, but cant seem to find anything showing this mystery bolt. Its down lower in line with the axle shaft, not the reverse mechanism bolt. Before I tear it apart, some insight would be helpful....thanks

Easy to see whats going on once I got the lower panel off. Axle bolt was trying to get out. I could remember a couple of extra bolts in the cover, I thought this was one of them. If anyone knows of where I could find a chaincase cover incl. Lower bearing in eastern Ontario, please let me know.

Cover can easily be repaired with JB weld. Make a button plug after cleaning case of all grease and oil. Light sanding of area both sides as well. Clean thoroughly. Next I think I would change all the bearings in the case because little bits of titanium have gone through them all. Even the drive chain is suspect now! What usually causes this is a spacer being put in backwards but that happens right after the case is put back together. So if its never been apart till now then the lock tight on the bolt didn't hold it and it came loose!
