Hi Guys,
I am considering buying a 2011 Venture GT or TF. I know that the TF has the longer track, however are they idendtical otherwise? I will be riding mostly on groomed trails and will have a passenger probably 50% of the time. Is a long track better for riding with a 2nd person? Anybody have riding experience on either of these machines? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

they are very close
the gt may have nicer shocks
the longer track isn't noticeable
it is only 3"more on the ground
a little different suspension in the rear
the non gt is the old carb version
and quite a bit less money
also a roomier seat
enjoy whichever you get

We have the 2010 RS venture carb version. Runs great. We ride 2 up all the time. What ever you buy, be prepared to spend some time setting up the suspension. There are lots of hints on ty. Drive one first. They have a bit of a track howl at about 50 k. I you can put up with that, you should be ok

I posted that question last year and got some good responses on here. Search for "shopping advice". Not sure if you're in Canada or not but in Canada the GT and TF are both EFI and in the new chassis. As mentioned the GT has the better shocks. TF has wider skis. The GT's 144 is plenty long for trail riding. Last week my buddy left his Apex on the trail due to a jackshaft bearing and got on with me. Sled rode great 2 up, never bottomed out and didn't have to slow down for any rough spots.
I recommend the GT
