Just thought with that kind of mileage the grommet may have hardened. Wouldn't hurt to check.His is an '11 so it has those updated parts.

For sure. I still have doubts it's the pan or at least try to find the real culprit, pan or not.

Would there be a PCV (pressure crankcase valve) sticking? Causing excess crankcase pressure and leaking? Should have one?

No valve per say, just the hose on top of the oil tank going to the air box (same one that will leak all the oil out if the sled is flipped track side up).
