2012 Polaris

Gotta say the Rush is nice to sit on. Its chassis is supposed to be more responsive to rider input (body position) regarding oversteer and understeer but I've never read a really good review on how they handle. Sure would like to ride one head to head with my sled just to see.

I have rode with a few new ones. Both where a couple older guys, The trails were rough and I was amazed how that sled made them look like young riders again over the rough stuff and through the twisties.

I have yamaha biased freinds that say the new 800 Pro is one of the nicest machines they have rode. It does everything trail wise really really good.

Not rode a new rush yet myself but would like to.

Yep Yamaha should just close shop as they can't compete with the new Doo's or the new Artic cats, anyway I just placed my order for a 2012 apex XTX before Yamaha went out of business.

You should have looked for a left over. Less money "SAME SLED"

Several reasons, 2011 models weren't available in Black, and even though a 2012 is essentially the same when it comes to resale a year newer will command more money, I shopped around I could only find a 2011 for $200 dollars cheaper than what I paid for a 2012, and I don't have to pay for it until next fall.

Heard some great things about the 2011 Poo's, 2010 and ealier were a different story but it sound like Poo finally got things figured out.

If I were in the market, Poo would definitely get a look long before the other 2.

Better resale when you sell it to buy a Cat or Poo? Just kidding! Enjoy your new sled. :tg:

First yamaha came out with the best 4-strokes ever...and the motors are soooo good we didnt think of the berings the wheels the slides etc..so we compaired the motor to ours..now that 2-smokes seem to blow up less we are starting to look at the whole sled..Price,Weight,Deppendability...When I bought my mountain I forgot one of the three...For the average rider a 2-smoke will not blow up..and will last quite sometime..but a 4-stroke longer..but what about the rest of the sled..YAMAHA..depends too much on the motor..For me its easier to just do the motor once in awhile than to do slides and berings a couple of times a year..+ and - for all sleds..But I will always buy a yammie for my trail wife..Also for when I ride with trail friends..best dame things on the trails. :4STroke:
2-smokes in the mountains :moon:

I never started snowmobiling till I was 15 or so and it was always on borrowed sleds, so I didn't exactly beat on them. The only two sleds I've personally owned were the phazer and nytro, both "heavy" 4 strokes. I love the power, but never could really get good at boondockin with them. The guys I mostly ride with are all much older than me so we rarely go off trail and when we do its slow and we pack down the snow for the rest of them. I always wonder how much more I'd be into boondockin' if I'd have owned 2 strokes instead. When I ride with guys my age, they all ride two strokes and wipe my a$$ off trail, I'd say partly due to lighter sleds and more experience. On trail I can keep up with them, but boy do I have to work.
