My thought's exactly, either way I am due for a new sled it's been 4 years now without one and I have my eyes on the Apex SE. But I am going to wait till the season is over and see what they release for 2012 before I make my purchase.

Thanks for your comments and have a safe riding season, all the best to all the TY members and there loved ones over the holidays! :jump:

you guys are dreaming. they are gonna throw eps on the venture and vector and that is all for 2012 folks! don't get your hopes up.

I hate to see it but I think Peter is right. Oh, and maybe some special decals for 10 years of 4 stroke performance. Not getting my hopes up.

No one is dreaming. My post said Yamaha should do X. Not they will do X. I didn't read one post that said they are going to do anything.

X2 seems logical, doable & not risky plus gain 20 pounds.lol Yam better focus on Doo GSX 1200 featurewise getting there just needs more HP 1.25 track & I'm on on it.

Yamaha needs to dump the ripsaw as well. I have a 1.25 predator 6 pitch on my Nytro this year and it's a completely different sled!!!! It pulls so hard no my arms get sore!!!

Track selection out of camoplast was quite disappointing for quite a while. The predator was a great track, and was the last great track that they made for quite a while. Since then, all the tracks they've made have been terrible things, which to me look like they're designed with the explicit purpose of failing quickly. That ripoff track (and the very similar HACKoff track) with all the flimsy little "teeth" for "penetration".... wtf? Penetration is pointless if your teeth just knife through. And of course, the little teeth just break off too easily.... and then their "offtrail" tracks with the flimsy thin little lugs that will do nothing except fold over.

This year though, they finally introduced a track that actually looks interesting. XC Pro -- its got that good old predator type of configuration with the addition of an extra 1/2" of lug depth. The 1-ply thing though frightens me a little bit. Come on, I want a 4-ply track with kevlar lugs!

Would love to see something for the children. Just simple lawnmower-engine type sled with blue heart inside, I´ve seen enough painted kittycats!
This can´t be too expensive to take for production, others have done it!

I'd like to see a kids sled also but i'm guessing Yami has researched this in the past and know the market share would be break even at best.
I'd also like to see something around 500lbs and 160hp out of the box. Then with the simple addition of airbox mods, exhaust, and plugs you're around 170-175hp.

For 2012 I would like Yamaha to release there Shock Specs, and Shock Parts as part of the fiche. I know it's crazy, and their shock setups are so superior to the other brands, that it makes them nervous, but I really think it will be ok. Oh yeah, part of releasing the parts, is to NOT charge $50.00 for an IFP seal either, keep the prices competitive and I think they would be surprised at how it could actually help them. If I had the choice of either waiting for a new shock, or just getting a seal kit and rebuilding it for $30-$20, I'll take the seal kit and actually ride instead of waiting.

I have been waiting for 3 years for that.... Not sure if it will happen.
