Sled has 480 miles on it with new plugs. I replaced when I changed the oil. I never noticed the popping out the exhaust until today like it just started all the sudden. My boy tipped it in its side yesterday but it stayed running the whole time. Doesn't seem to run any different and I swear it wasn't doing it before. Pin it then let off and pop. Any ideas ?

Never let run on its side. If it happens shut off right away. Tip back in skis and let sit for 5-10 until oil drains back down out of head.
Decel pop could be as simple as an exhaust leak. Dognut at head. No codes?

No codes runs perfect. I just noticed it popping today. It popped when it only had 100 miles on it. But today it was worse. Would letting it idle too long create un burned fuel in exhaust ?Never let run on its side. If it happens shut off right away. ATV PRO. What is the best setting to run the secondary spring on? I was talking to Chris Schmidt he was telling me to run B1 I was on A1 I thimk. It seems like sometimes going down hill it will hold itself back then other times it seems like it free spins and I have to give it some throttle to slow it down

Idling to long wouldn’t do that no. Your fan would come on first. If it gets really really hot the machine would just shut off. My buddies 10 rtx shuts itself down. I’ve never had it happen on my 07 or 14 BUT have seen the yellow light on dash warning of an over heat ONCE.
Secondary I’ll have to run to shop and check my book. I’m running the “secondary brain child mod “. But did mess around a lot before I installed. I lost my notes for what I have my primary’s set at

Don’t get discouraged. It’s very rare.Yeah I can't believe it broke already with just a few hundred miles on it
Warranty covered my front pieces when the bolts came out. Little 4” that bolt to block.
Things happen.
At least it’s not the onset of code 34
And you have us here

Sorry took so long on this one.
Finally found my notes.
Yours being MTX stock is B1
I found I hit limiter at that setting. Couldn’t do long runs trail wise without limiting my speed based on rpm.
Stock on XTX is A1
So that may be a good start as what worked for me was taking 10* out of secondary. (C1)
B1 is 55* (MTX stock)
A1 is 45*(XTX stock)
C1 is 35*
Taking that 10* out gave me more load on primary and lowered rpm by 200+\-
11,300 and gave me +5km/h.
Keep in mind your gearing is 17/41 and an XTX is 19/41. Just have to take a day and play around a bit.
