2014 Viper NOT Charging, Input Appreciated

Are you going to put Winder regulator in just to be sure? Looks like you got it solved either way. Congratulations! I put this thread in FAQ. Thank You for going through this Jamie.

Yes, I might as well, I have gone this far..... Plus I have to install all my TD stuff on the Sidewinder anyway. Then try to go riding one more time.

Actually thank you and everyone who contributed ! It's not fixed yet when it is I will confirm !

It's Fixed !!

I just got done putting the Sidewinder Regulator ( Its the EXACT same and it also tested good ) in the Viper and the volts went right to 14.3 which is where it should be based on speaking with Jack from Roadster Cycle who made the videos.

Some of you might be wondering why didn't I just put a new one in right away or...??? Well the answer is I have never seen one go bad without some other reason causing it and I didn't want to burn out a brand new one if there was a problem somewhere else. The next question might be what caused it and did I find a problem...The short answer is No I did not find any problems, however after speaking with Jack and letting him know I just had some service done ( BTW this is the first time EVER I haven't service my sled I had some time constraints and it was there for the updated flash anyway) he felt that something had to cause a direct short or spike to the system like hooking up a jump box wrong or neg to pos etc. I did notice when I got it back from service the positive battery terminal was loose, so I feel something there happened or....?? but either way I felt comfortable that there is no other issues so I feel confident in putting in a new regulator.

Jack also mentioned he has sold over 9000 Mosfet retrofit kits for various combinations and he has only seen 3 bad ever.

Again Thanks for everyones input, it still wouldn't be fixed if it wasn't for the people on this forum.
