I doubt the snow is deep enough to get back into the mud pit this year so you are probably safe there. Have fun guys (and girls if there are any this year)

I possibly could join for Saturday, were will the ride start from? What time for breakfast and for ride?
I will be driving from just north of Duluth by island lake.

Gathering point is usually Andy's place a few miles outside Ely on Johnson lake. Breakfast last year was an on your own thing, but the guys that stayed at his place ate there. My wife and I (and the kid) stayed at a cabin on the Eagles Nest chain so we ate before driving over in the morning. Not sure what the schedule looks like this year but it was cold last year (like -30F cold) so we tended to wait till it warmed up a bit before heading out. I think the goal was 1000 or 1100. I'm guessing Andy will chime in with the details, but that's the gist of how things went last year. I don't know what they did Sunday though as we headed home early after two great days on Friday and Saturday.

I will be ready to ride saturday. Is a 2hr. drive from cabin according to google maps ~ no big deal.

We can meet as early as you like on Saturday. I'm sure we'll be up by 7 am to eat, and get started by 8 or 8:30, if that's too early we can get going later. I'm pretty laid back. If anybody needs directions, don't be afraid to call my cell phone. Since I haven't been out much this year yet, I plan on riding Sunday too, then packing up when we're done and heading out Sunday evening.

Oh to bad, my wife and I are still planning driving to Duluth tonight then I will trailer up to Ely in am goal of 830 arrival. How many guys are coming? Weather looks good low 2 high 8 but all above zero.

Well another MNTY in the books........ learned how to prime an SR viper oil pump out in the field, and got in some tow truck miles at the end of the ride and surprised how well my phazer can tow another sled. Great weekend with the guys! logged about 180 miles Saturday.
