I have 45 miles on my sled went out tonight put it in reverse to back it out of my shop and thats all it did ,tryed to shut it off nothing pushing the button sled running and off still in rev , no ice or snow built up ,any input would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance chris

dealer ship never said any thing so i don't know

the 15s should not need the update especially if id doesnt need the remap. there are 1 or 2 that have locked up the actuator. it is all warranted. can pull it off to check if it is the actuator. pull the exhaust side panel off. then unclip the black plastic towards the tank (the one the side hinges in) the actuator is a black box on the chain case. 3 screws hold it in. you can unbolt it and pull it out. put into reverse and forward to see if the actuator is turning. with it off you can see if it needs the update. if the shaft going into the chain case has a detent in it and a small spring pushing a tab into it your good. the 14s just had a shaft. no spring or detent in the shaft. you can also shift it manually now. there is a reverse actuator sticky for more info on the update.

If it is still out side remove the reverse actuator and take a pair of channel locks and move it manually out of reverse so you can get it to your Yamaha dealer. Reverse actuator is under the right side panel almost on top of the chain case, its the round plastic device with 3 screws holding it on.

i hate that usually i get a nice large explanation typed up and then the little blue line pops up saying, messages have been posted since you loaded this page View them? and i do, which then i just delete everything i just wrote rrrr

just a update took the sled in yesterday ,the dealer ship talked to yamaha and they said know issues on the 15s yet and the reverse ,but they said to change out the relays because they may have some moisture in them ,will pick her up tomorrow and see what happens

2014 Viper 3000 miles bearing noise coming from under fuel tank area. Made it home, went to back it up and now it's stuck in reverse. Shut off and restarted no difference. Any ideas?

Find the bearing noise first. That's probably source of issue. More than likely Chaincase side Jackshaft bearing. If it's not a bearing then just check actuator.
