Looking at adding another sled to my stable. Was looking for 2011 or newer Apex XTX and came across this Viper with 1700 miles for 6800 My buddy I ride with has a 2016 Viper DX and only seen a few issues such as no start on cold mornings unless warms a relay and hot no start on the trail at times for no reason. Lets sit a little longer then fires up. Anything I should look for on this one when I go look at it?
Thanks! Dan

Really other than the fuel line recall and Mapping updates nothing to look for on that model. Shocks are on soft side on DX but many like them. I would just look for black dirty clutches. Is it a DX or a SE? Confused on title since then you state its a SE?

Sorry for the confusion. The one I am looking at is a 2015 RTX SE, my buddy owns the 2016 DX. I recall seeing some stuff about one way clutch failures for the starter? I believe it was you that was talking about it last season.

It was the starter gear or starter itself breaking. The newest flash supposedly prevents this and is free. The SE has suspension shocks that are poorly valved.

That one has Tuners so must be a late build sled. Nobody seems to like them. Very sharp sled!

So the Fox floats have issues? May need to upgade?

I would go with the 15.lot less miles and a year newer.plus he will probably come down a bit if it's a cash deal

XTX is also uncoupled. If you do any off trail the XTX is the one to get. If not go with 15 RTX.
