finally got parts to change rods on 2016 viper mtx . new rods have bolts with nuts to hold rod caps on. old rods bolts are thread into rod to hold cap on. waited until now to get parts. have 1700 miles on sled no issues yet. hope dealer gets it back together right as sled had no issues

Will be a good feeling to get that done eh! Then you will have the best of the motors since starter gear and associated parts are upgraded and seem to have eliminated failures on the new engine. Sucks you had to go through this though.finally got parts to change rods on 2016 viper mtx . new rods have bolts with nuts to hold rod caps on. old rods bolts are thread into rod to hold cap on. waited until now to get parts. have 1700 miles on sled no issues yet. hope dealer gets it back together right as sled had no issues

My dealer is telling me that the recall is only if the dealer adds on a turbo. Is this what everyone else is being told?

Ok twist my words. If you had a turbo installed by your dealer then I'm being told the recall covers the rods.
Is anyone getting theirs covered even though you don't have a turbo?
