Wow. No kiddin. I leave it on a tender while I'm away. But when I'm up riding I leave it outside. So next time I try a jump. Thank you.

I carry a auto battery jumper box and a cord that has cig lighter plug on both ends, plug in to dash acc pug and same plug on battery box. Used to use it often on the Phazer but have not needed it for the Viper yet.

i had issues with a 0 mile 16 ltx le with -21 and after 3- 10 second cranks the battery was dead. I had a week trip and fought it the entire week with -5 to -25 temps. Had to keep it on the charger when not riding and in a heated trailer ovenight. I found the starter solenoid coming off the battery was loose either from the factory or my dealer. I had -2 temps this weekend and it fired up after alil pause and i let it run to 150 degrees then let it sit for 2 hours and took 3 cranks 10 second cranks for it to start. Im starting to believe im going to fight the cold starting issues for the life of the sled

My sled wouldn't start this morning and it turned out the fuel pump relay was frozen. Luckily I was at the cabin and had a heat gun in the garage. Blew hot air on the fusebox for a few minutes and it started right up. Anyone have a recommendation on some better relays and best place to get them?

It was -32c at the lake yesterday and today and my 16 xtx turbo started. Not happy about being outside all night but it did start. You must have a loose something somewhere.

When you guys leave your sled outside, try too find a cap for the end of your exhaust to cover it. That way cold air doesn't have a chance to get in there and travel through the exhaust and into the motor.

Could be poor initial charge by your dealer during the PDI, I've seen this happen a lot.

I had a defective battery in my 2015. It would crank the motor over an over but not start. Put it on a charger overnight. Kept getting a bad cell error. Dealer checked it out and agreed gave me a warranty replacement. Took a full charge but was only 12.8V. As soon as I put the OEM replacement battery in it fired right up. Started fine in single digit UP weather last year sitting outside overnight. My dealer confirmed the bad battery but made me wait a day (careful) for them to give it a full charge.
I stopped at Interstate today the battery was on the charger since Sunday night. The tested it and only 200 CCA on a battery rated for 310. The battery was the one in the sled when I bought it new last March and was on a tender every other week all summer and Ulmer had it on a charger before he put it back in the sled. JUST JUNK. this is the 4th Yamaha Yuasa battery that did not make it 1 year!
