2016 ZR7000 Recall

My brand new sled with ZERO miles on it has a recall already.
Dealer called today, said the primary clutch must be changed.
I guess I will get them to fix the chain case oil leak while it is there.
I'm off to a bad start over here.

not sure why you would be upset...no snow anyway.....they are fixing issues seems better then saying tough you get to keep the bad clutch, i welcome recalls and updates its to better your machine

dealer is 1.5 hours away, that means I will lose 5 hours out of my very busy schedule. Not to mention the $60 in fuel.

lol well i dunno what to tell you everything has recalls and updates....i guess you could just wait till spring to do them then if your that busy, but being that busy you wont likely need to ride it anyway

What's the reason for the clutch recall?

Is this the clutch weight bolt that needs to be turned 180*?

no they have faulty casting or not balanced its a replacement primary they are putting on

When it concerns a safety issue most dealers are not keen on just sending parts out, for obvious reasons

Or you could use a dealer closer to you.
Its just a clutch swap. Any monkey can do it.
Call a closer dealer. Explain your situation and see if they will help.
If they are unwilling to help call cat and complain.
You got nothing to lose.

Well apparently the 1st monkey could not do it!

I dropped the sled off in the morning, I picked it up in the afternoon.
They changed the clutch, Dealer did not know why it was recalled, he said he will let me know what the deal is, when he finds out.
They also changed the o-ring in the chain case cover.
It is a Team Ind. clutch.......

Guess it depends on your relationship with your dealer....
