get a heavier front track spring take the weight right off the front end

Got the 2017 BTX LE with 2.25" and a narrow front end w/o swaybar, it's set up for off trail but can easy survive on the trail, ice scratchers in use will help a lot on hard trails. This sled got 2400 km on the odo now and no problems at all. The stock belt was gone after 500 km, belt number 2 got over 1700 km before changing it, the clutches are modified to get a perfect back shift and a long belt life. Nice sled. Not so high top speed with the stock gearing but where can you ride in 200 kph +

I have a Cat version of this sled with a tune and it flat our rips. Handles well in the trails after shocks are set and it hooks in all conditions but I am studded. I run the 1.750 track.

I would not hesitate to purchase this snowmobile you will have lots of smiles on it.

With the 1.750 track it will run into the 100 teens area in 1000ft set up properly.

so you can see close to 170kph? are you tuned? did you find the stock front end set at the narrow setting to wide for off trail? i have the same sled spring ordered and i was wondering if it will be too wide

thanks

I hope that kinger can accept this as useful information instead of a thread hijack...
The sled is not too wide as a 40", got a Polaris Titan that are 39" and I can ride that sled too!
My BTX got a front end from a MTX because I got two Viper MTX with the narrow 36" ski stance that I likes a lot, we have tiny twisty trails in my area of Sweden so a narrow sled is perfect. The stock sled feels front heavy and stiff w/o the correct suspension setting. My setting is a on the softer side but the sled follows any command with ease compared to the stock setting. Stock gearing, MCX Stage II (250 hp) w. trail can and a Speedtech Adrenaline clutch kit. 1.7 - 2 liter premium fuel per 10 km during trail riding (13.8 - 11.7 mpg). kinger and jeffgilbert go for it and don't forget to add the rear bumper hitch kit for stiffen up the very long tunnel

It's the data from a GoPro camera with gps, you can get it visible when editing the movie on a pc. It's a nice feature

Thanks that is what I thought. I would love that display live - speed and direction. May have to try harder with Garmin GPS worked good for 1 day then display turned into block pattern with no info.

Its official, new 17 BTX is mine, they are pulling it out of the crate today and adding the 3 updates, and assembling. Should be ready soon. Pretty stoked to have my FIRST BRAND NEW SLED! Pretty killer deal on it as well!! Now question is to break it in per book or mod over the summer before my first ride lol!

Well done!!! Mod it as planned during the summer, ride it in the winter, I did it the other way, first season stock and after that all in. It was not the right way to do it, the sled is much better when modified to my taste. Good luck :-)

Congratulations !!!!!! I hope you LOVE it and I know you will make it beautiful.
