Guys, I recently purchased a 2016 Viper XTX, has a very narrow front end, and I plan to do a nice bit of trail riding with it. I'm Looking to widen the ski stance/front end. I have an opportunity now to get a complete front end (arms, rods, shocks, etc.) from a 2017 Sidewinder, are these front ends compatible though? Don't mind having to change bushings or something small like that, but I don't want to buy it and not fit the 2016 XTX at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

If you have ALL the parts for a wider front end, then the parts will transfer over and you won't have to do anything special - just bolt up and go.

Excellent, thanks for the help, much appreciated
Only issue I have heard is the Mountain sleds use smaller dia bolts and sleeves in arms.

I have a 16 XTX and you can make it wider by changing around the rubbers and the spacers. It can be 40" or 42" which is as wide as it gets.
Yea was wondering. Maybe previous owner put a 36" Front end on it?I have a 16 XTX and you can make it wider by changing around the rubbers and the spacers. It can be 40" or 42" which is as wide as it gets.

I'm not sure if the previous owner ever changed anything but... I bought the frt end off the 2017 Sidewinder, & it was very straight forward, (was just bolt it up and go on the 2016 Viper XTX 153 like Joseph had said in an earlier post.) I did use the existing bushings out of the 2016 arms I took off, and everything fit, & bolted right up perfect. (Bold size were all the same). I posted some pics incase it helps someone else who's wondering the same question I had, again check things out for yourself, but it worked for me here perfect. Now, can't wait for some snow to try it out. Cheers!
