I think Ski Doo is releasing their 2019 lineup later today. But I received an email from Snow Goer this morning. It noted the release of a 2019 Ski Doo with a 150hp turbo 4-stroke.
Yes I heard they have a 900 ACE type motor with a turbo. The other day I heard 180 hp but I think 150 hp sounds more realistic being it's only 90 hp naturally aspirated. This news is all over FB today and the arguing has begun. Gee it just might be FLICK-A-BLE!!!
I also heard Cat has a new ProCross type chassis or whatever they plan to call it. If true does Yamaha get it too? Seems only fair being they got the SW motor immediately.
Polaris already has a newer entry level machine being previewed. Forgot what they are calling it though being it did little to spark my interest.

Ski Doo has done so much marketing that 4 strokes are heavy and slow they still refuse to make a big HP 4 stroke in fear of being faster/more powerful than their biggest E-Tec....hence the 850.

I think that is in replacement of their 1200. Maybe the future rules will be comming like ATV and could not have 1000cc +Ski Doo has done so much marketing that 4 strokes are heavy and slow they still refuse to make a big HP 4 stroke in fear of being faster/more powerful than their biggest E-Tec....hence the 850.

Hmmm...interesting. Not.
150 hp turbo? So a not so flickable Apex should smoke it?
Like they say, go big or go home. That little windmill only 150?...guess they don't want to embarrass the quick but not fast 850, with four stroke durability! Sidewinder still a homerun. Even though I didn't have a loose turbo bolt. It was no where to be found!
The hard to get at one, naturally.

Interesting. This concept would allow a sled front end similar to the Yamaha Niken. The mono rail would allow track flex so the sled can lean.

Removing all of that unsprung weight will also provide a distinct advantage in articulation but one would think the lack of track support will cause problems on a groomed trail where the articulation of the front end would be most beneficial.

So looking at their website, there really seems to be less models/options/engines. A very trimmed down lineup.
The Enduro is gone, they show no kids sled, the 1200 is gone, the 800 eTec is gone. Pretty much 900 ACE, 900 ACE turbo, 600 eTec or 850 eTec. Most anything powder related gets the 850.

Enduro is a Renegade, so it has been moved. 800 is replaced by the 850 (that makes sense) and the 900 Ace Turbo replaces the 1200.
I found it funny as the Renegade line up had almost all engine options, but the MXZ cannot be purchased with the 900 Turbo. The 600R Etec should be available in anything with a G4 chassis, as it would not fit in the previous G3

The Canadian website shows all the same models as last year. The 550F, 600 ace and 1200 can still be found in the touring and utility models. The 800 etec is gone from all platforms.

But are they 2019's? I did a quick google search for Ski Doo/canada and all it showed were 2018's.

They must be 2019's since the 900 Turbo is also listed among the engine choices, and the colors are the new ones that were presented last night.
